So I haven't bought this yet, still saving money.

How WELL does the cricut cut using SCAL if the design is really intricate, fine detail and small? Understanding the blade sharpness, pressure, speed, paper using etc. but does it do a pretty good job?

I am thinking of cutting very small fine detailed images, for example a reindeer with antlers but the reindeer from bottom (feet) to antlers is below 3/4".

sorry the pic is so big!

the ceramic tile is only 3/4" and I want cricut to cut the image and I can fuse it to the tile.

TIA!

Annie

I think it cuts the fine detail as well with SCAL as it does with the cartridges. I haven't seen an issue other than what you mentioned, blade sharpness, type of paper, depth, etc. If you have trouble cutting intricate details (like small letters) with your cartridges then I would assume you'll have problems cutting the same size stuff here. Still I haven't tried cutting letters (or intricate details) smaller than 3/4-1" and those seem to work fine. Maybe someone else has some experience here?
