Is there a rhinestone count button, so I know how many rhinestones I need for my design? Thanks

Hi Lynda, in SCAL4, after selecting your graffic, click on "Effects" and choose "Rhinestones". Then choose the type ( SS6, SS10 ...) and after the settings of the distance, click "Previeuw". Then you can see the amount of stones.
It works fine with graffics; I tried it with text; then I get no counting of stones. I do'nt know if this is normal in SCAL4. Maybe can someone gif the answer on that .
Have a good day.

Hi,
I just played around with the rhinestone effect and figured out how to get a count on text. There may be a better way, but this is all I could figure out:
1) Select Text Tool (T)
2) Type your word(s)
3) Select the Text menu (across the top of the screen)
4) Select "Convert Text to Outlines"
5) Select the Effects menu
6) Select Rhinestones
7) Set the size and type of stones
8) Click on Preview and you should now see a stone count.

Hope that helps!

I know this is a older post but just select all the stones by color and then I go to break apart. now in layers you should see the circles with (1) (2) etc in the panel. that will then show you the total rhinestone count. make sure you group them all together again.

Go to object then select break apart
next look in your layers and there will be the rhinestone circles
after that you will see a number in ( ) that will count from 1 & up that will be your stone count.
after that make sure you group them back.

I know this is a 2yr old post but hope this helps.

You can also go to Window>Project Info and click on the Rhinestones tab.

I am also confused about that. But I think your design sounds interesting.
