SCAL v1 and Cricut personal

I have the original cricut and original SCAL. It now says "Checking Mat" and then nothing happens. Is there a fix for this or am I just out? It's always worked in the past. I haven't used it in a while so I'm not sure of changes I've done.

You never upgraded SCAL2?. It is possible that you upgraded your computer operating system beyond scal1's capabilities.
Contact
support@craftedge.com with all your computer info and see if upgrading to scal2 will work. actually there is a support for to fill out on craftedge.com.
