Hello all I am new to scal but have been playing (addicted) alot! I saw where some of you have made the word books and I am dying to know how! Does someone have a tutorial on this? Can you tell me what materials you use to cut the book? TY for all your help and the wonderful post you all do!

yes I watched this tutorial.. that's the one that Grammy mentioned.. and it was SOOO helpful.

I used old gift boxes from Christmas for my word book. But people have also used cereal boxes.

What word are you planning on cutting?

One word of advice DO NOT buy the deep cut blade. Mine should have been taken back to a store, but I opted to buy it on eBay stupidly. Tingha Treasures (another SCAL pro) suggests using the 60 degree blade. This is all of course if you're going to use chipboard...

I am in the process of working on my first word book. I bought the heavier weight poster board (4 ply), cut it into 11"x 12" pieces and cut my book from that. Cheap, cheap, cheap and once I adhered the cardstock to it, it was heavy enough.
