Craft Edge

I had to purchase a new lap top so I moved all my stuff over. After moving everything over and re-installing SCAL 3, it freezes and shuts down A LOT. Never had this problem before with the old computer. I had a toshiba satellite, now using a hp laptop with Windows 8 and SCAl 3.56... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
