I just got SCAL about a week ago.. and was/am very eager to make a word book like I have seen on this site. This Lovely word book is my first attempt. I used cerial boxes for the chipboard with the regular blade and housing on my Expression. Multi Cut 2 times, Max pressure, and blade on 5. Worked great. The cardstock for the Letters was Bazzill Bling. I cannot wait to try make some more albums! Would love to hear what you think!

Beautiful job! I am about to do my first wordbook, too.

I have a question about cutting the Bling. It is my most favoritest paper, but I haven't found the perfect setting for cutting it. Either the bling-y layer shreds or it doesn't cut all the way through. Your cuts are beautiful, do you remember your settings?

Bazzill bling is my very favorite paper!! I use it in almost every project.. if even just a little. For cutting the bling... I believe I have the setting "high pressure" & 5 or 6 for the blade depending on how sharp the blade is. I have on some occasions had it not cut entirely through(when I set the blade at 4).. and in that case I just load the paper and cut it again. Which usually works... however you cannot really bank on it.. because sometimes the cut is just a little bit off from the original.

I cannot wait to start on my next wordbook. I think I am going to try a double layer that is more square
Michael
&Theresa with these names. Where the letters are more little. I hope it works. I feel like I have more of the tricks down.. because this book took me SOOOOO long to perfect. I watched a bunch of tutorials and ended cutting out two sample books with junk paper. Hoping to cut down on the lag time next time.

I have one question though... Does anyone use the 12 x 24 cutting mats? And if so... Have you found any 12 x 24 paper that is NOT the cricut brand paper pad.
