when i import an image, the edges dont line up

hello,
i usually make vector files in illustrator or photoshop, then i export them as a 300dpi high resolution raster image and use the lot's import function to get the file to sure cuts a lot instead of trying to push it through a SVG conversion manually (as i have had issues with double cuts that way).
the problem im having is when i try to cut basically anything, the leading cut and the finishing cut of any shape dont line up like they should. it cuts fine, the speed and depth are right - but it wont line up and im left with junk and wasted vinyl.
here is an example. i made a vector version of the tardis, and then cut it.
does anyone have any advice to solve this issue?
thanks a million!
