Cutting strip coming off

Has anyone else had the white strip that is stuck underneath the blade come off? Mine came loose within a month or two of having the machine and the retailer said to stick it back down but it came off altogether and they said it is not essential to the cutting but my cuts have been awful since. I have contacted Sizzix but no joy. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks.

i had the same problem with mine,so i left the strip off.so far it has been ok

mine just started coming off and did a lot of cutting this week. It doesn't seem to have any effect.

They sent me a new one and it cuts much better now
