I designed this in Inkscape for P2C and posted the svg on my Blog along with pattern paper I made with it as well. I plan to make lots of ornaments, in different colors for the holidays.
It is a bit tricky I found to set up in eCAL so I made it work and will share the scut3 file here. I have no idea whether it will work on the "other" scut3 machines but would like to know.
I could not get it right in SCAL2 so I suggest you download the .png file for and do "place image" to print. I was able to use the polygon tool in SCAL2 to make a mat.

It is just getting to hard and too confusing (for me anyway) to try and make ALL projects work on ALL versions of the CE software.

THIS is just AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I changed the 3 to 2 and made it a .scut2 by going to my user file for desktop and right clicking on your file to rename and just change the 3 to a 2. It warned me not to, but I said ok.
It opened up for me and I magnified very large to see the fine tread like lines...so cool!!!
Then, I copy pasted and made a shadow blackout of the copy. Now I can print and cut it too!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much. This must have been a tough one to make!

How cool. I can actual envision this with a sparkly rhinestone in the center.

You are probably both already thinking this too. Maybe with a group and flip of another..glue together on the backs, and put small hole for ornament hanger...maybe an embroidery floss loop and what is great is they can go in Christmas cards!
I am wondering if there is a clear product that can be printed on...oh, it would be great on a clear backing. I am not up on all the products for use. There must be something.

Thanks all, I did use the pattern jpg and printed it on white photo matte cardstock (full page). Turned the paper over in the printer and did the P2C giving me the star on one side and the print pattern on the back. I've imagined them as 3D but just can't get it to line up right, I'm sure it is me.
Pics of the 3d or embellished versions would be very nice.

Some iterations you can make by changine the polygon to something else.
