Changing Shadow Size

When I select text and then choose Shadow as the Style, the "3" comes up automatically. I have tried changing the size of the shadow by typing in a new number, but it doesn't change the size of the shadow at all. What am I missing here?

Have you pushed Enter key or Tab key on your keyboard after changing the size?

No - but that solves the problem.
Didn't see that direction anywhere.

That is great.
Just one thing else to watch - if you make a shadow at say 8 and then copy and paste it to make another one, when you click on the copied one the shadow will say 3 even though it is actually 8 - so if you want to check the "size" of the shadow always check it off the original one.
