Scal2 with CCR

I know there is not much support anymore for SCAL2 but does anyone know if I start to use the CCR will it mess up my SCAL2 for MAC
I am using CCR and SCAL 2 (v2.044) on a MacBook running OS X 10.6.8. CCR updated the Cricut firmware to version 2.43; SCAL 2 2.044 works fine.
