Vinyl Stencil for Glass Paint - Take off when wet or dry?

I am trying to make some custom stoneware plates for a wedding gift. I want to stick vinyl stencils on the plates and fill them with black, water-based Porcelaine 150 paint (http://en.pebeo.com/Creative-leisure/De ... elaine-150) to write their names on the glossy stoneware plates. I am wondering if I can wait for the paint to dry before removing the vinyl stencils, or if I have to try to remove them while the paint is still wet (more difficult!). Will the paint seal to the vinyl and make removal difficult or will it easily separate from the vinyl and stay on the plate? Has anyone worked with glass paints like this before? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance!
