Cutting images (colored with Copics) on Cricut

Have you ever, knew you seen the directions and could never find them again!!!! LOL that is where I have been for a few hours, in search engine H*****.
I have some cute Marci digital images. I print them out, color them with my copics and painfully (broke my wrists both of them a few years back can hardly do the scissor thing) so I mean painfully cut them out.
Everytime I do this, I think of my SCAL 2.0 and my expressions (have a Pazzles on the way). Surly, just surly this can be on using this software. I have traced the image into scal, but can't figure out how to cut, just the outside lines....I am thinking if I can "create" just the outside lines, and cut a template, I could put my drawing under the template in the exact spot on the mat, and cut it out professionally!!!!!
Is this possible? I will upload many happy thoughts and well wishes to anyone that can help me out!
