Follow the instructions outline in the above post. This is such a basic feature of SCAL and if you learn it you will have so much more fun with the program. When you are finished tracing just put a box around the circle and the T and go to Object and Ungroup and then click on the circle and delete it. Please give it a try and ask back here if you have trouble.
