I just purchased SCAL and donwloaded Inkscape, and I was hoping somebody can help me. I was able to create the different layers of a clipart image with Inkscape, but when I import the SVG file to SCAL the size of the image is very small. Is there a way to set the size (in inches) in Inkscape so that when I import the file it comes over the right size? Also some of the SVG files I import do not import the same way they are saved on Inkscape (for example the image I place on the right ends up on the left), if someone has had these issues and knows how to fix them PLEASE HELP!
THANK YOU

You can change the measurement to inches in INK and note the size before you close (photo below shows where to change). Once you open SCAL, change the font size in the Library to the same size from INK and it should import in the right size. I find that Height is the better choice for importing.
As far as shapes moving around once imported into SCAL, try opening the file back up in INK and for any shape that moves, select and use Path>Combine.

I just import SVG files and drag it to the size I want with the appropriate handle (one in a that lets you drag). Seems to work for me. Don't have to mess with Inkscape that way. But I did have trouble with an image where the corner did not meet correctly - wonder if that's why... hmm...

Annointed Hands alluded to this in her post, but just to make it clear: the SVG will import at whatever size your font "default size" is set to. You can then size it larger or smaller by either using the shape properties window (make sure to click on Keep Proportions first) or by clicking and dragging the handles around the object.
