Craft Edge

HELP!!! I recently got a new PC and loaded the SCAL2 onto it. I opened an .svg file and am trying to serapte it. Under object there Ungroup is not allowing me to use it and there is NO break apart listed! I have used these features many times....what is going on???? Uhhhh thanks!

Are you putting a Selection Box around your whole image so that the Ungroup and Break Apart will be available to use?

Yes.... that is what is making me crazy! All is selected - I can size jusyt fine. Just cannot ungroup and it is not even listing Break apart as a choice...this is really not a good day!

What Scal version are you using?
What machine are you cutting with?
What is your computer operating system?

I would email Craft Edge, perhaps, with this info and your question.

Hi I am using SCAL2, on an Expression and Internet Explorer with a Dell machine. I have never added a file but here it is. I need to break apart to move the letters off the frame. THANKS!!!

I was able to ungroup and break apart your file, but it's much easier to select the letters without the frame in Inkscape. There is something odd about your file though. After I worked on it in Inkscape it wouldn't work in SCAL or Ink, so I started over and copied the artwork into a new file. This one should work for you.

What version of SCAL2 are you using? Your Ungroup/Break apart problem may be a compatibility issue that has been fixed at some point. The most recent version (last I checked) was 2.043. HTH

Heather: Where are you getting version 2.043. Every time I check on the Craft Edge downloads they have the one I have: 2.041. Let me know, OK? Thanks.
