Rhinestone Application

Well, i watched as many videos and tutorials as i could on using the Rhinestone feature and I think i figure out a way to make the shirts cheap without all the heat tape ect. I cut my letters using the Rhinestone feature on vinyl. My first attempt worked fine except one video showed that you just place the Rhinestones in the hole and use the heat tool - BIG MISTAKE - it melted the little bit of vinyl that was near the Rhinestone. My second attempt - i used the vinyl i previously cut (with the holes) - and used a disappearing marker to mark the holes on the fabric - removed the vinyl and placed the stones on the marks!! I did all this while my shirt was positioned on the heatpress - when i was done...I just lowered the press and glue the stones in place!! Not bad for my first attempt!!

Great job!! I really like it. I have to look into this more.
Also, btw, you may want to re-read the last bit of your post for typos.

You did GREAT!!! I have never done this but was wondering if freezer paper ironed onto the shirt, with the holes cut in it, would work for marking the spots with the disappearing ink, also. I'm thinking that might work too. Thanks for showing your shirt!

I think using freezer paper/wax paper should work perfect too!! I just did a shirt for my granddaughter (pictured below) - i know in all the videos that i watched it states that you need to put something like paper..etc. between the layers - I tried paper on the Nurse shirt and wax paper on the crown - and both ended up sticking (BAD) to the inside of the shirt from the rhinestone glue!! I had to wet the inside of the shirt to help get the paper off! (you will see the big wet spot in the photo)..LOL

I would search youtube for it.
Also, where are you getting your hotfix rhinestones from? It's almost impossible to find quality glass stones that are affordable!!
