File sharing

I hated the 4shared (and all the others too)file upload/download process. I feel that these "services" are useful but with all the attached crap that comes with them I feel that even with the above average intelligence of my blog readers, they won't be able to navigate through the screen to actually GET my svg. (I've tried to get some recently and all the crud that is added is ridiculous, yes I know it's there way of advertising but it's getting scary to say download now.)

Seriously it's alot better.

Just so you know that Google Docs is a free program that is easy to navigate through, safe and most importantly Clean

I agree with you. There are usually 3 or 4 download buttons and if you hit the wrong one you end up downloading a program you don't want. Glad you found an alternative.

I am sorry but I thought I would check out Google Docs because I would like to have something better than 4Shared to share my files. I have attached what it says and the files I usually share are either SVG or PNG so am I right to assume this would not work for us that create files of this type to share. It looks like it only shares documents or is there something I am missing?

mine have been working fine.you can check my blog out - on the right hand sidebar you'll find my docs, to see for yourself.
Perhaps the message u received is for creating docs in Google docs?

I think you must make sure you hit on advanced sharing if memory serves me..

I only upload the file I want, then change the status to share. Unless something has changed recently

Actually I just tried uploading an svg and did it with no problem..
