Craft Edge

I found this image online and wanted to do this for our home bar
when I try to seperate it, it seems some of the letters have been welded to the martini glass
so when I seperate I don't have the whole martini glass
I have played with this for a few days trying dufferent methods and can't seem to get anywhere
could someone just get the glass and olive out of this?
and if it's not too much to ask, directions on how to do this in the future
