I seen a design that I want to try and it is a Turkey with different colored feathers. How do you cut the feathers in the individual colors? Do I have to cut the whole turkey using the different colors to get the feathers or is that what the break apart option is for? Thank You for any help you can offer.

Can you point us to a picture of this turkey so that we know what you mean?
In general, you can cut the main shape in one colour and then create and cut individual feathers and glue them on. Without knowing more about what your design looks like I cannot give more help.

You can use the breakapart feature.. you can create layer files in SCAL2 .. or use the pause feature.. replace the colored paper on your mat with another color and then hit cut again.. Another method some people do is just take the feathers after you've broken them apart and duplicate the feather and place squares of different colored paper on your mat and then place the feather on the same part of your virtual as to where you want it cut on your real mat... You have to be pretty strategic at doing this last method though as the cricut doesn't always cut where it shows it's cutting on the virtual mat..
