Is there a name for Scrapbooking where you make everything from scratch?

In my mind Scrapbooking is the word for it. The explanation I was given as a child when I asked what is a scrapbook? my mother told me that is was a book you made yourself using the scraps you save from important days in your life, I also remember something being said about a memory book but can't remember what it was

I remember mom's with ticket stubs and newspaper clippings Those huge black pages, not pretty at all. pressed dried flowers taped to the pages. wedding napkins, match books.
