how to change a .cut file to a svg file?

hello all, I downloaded some files and they are in the .cut format and I want to change them to svg format so I can cut them in scal 2...can someone send me the directions on how to do this?

You can't convert them because the .cut file references cartridge shapes. Usually there is an equivalent svg that someone has already made. Just look in the svg section of this forum or ask.

If you have the trial version of DS, can't you use that to cut out the .cut files? It seems like I did that on my old computer that had the trial version on it.
