Hi...

I am not too versed in all of this stuff, so please forgive my lack of knowledge.

I have heard or read that most of the images off of the cricut cartridges are all available online in svg format for free or close to free.. There are some of the cartridges that I totally love but I hate to spend $30-$60 on them... I would love to find out where to grab these svgs made from the original cricut cartridges... Anyone who can help me out?

Thanks so much! Tanya

If there were any I'm not aware of them. I'm sure provo craft would sue in a heartbeat if someone sold or gave away their copy righted stuff. At one time they themself had pdf's of their booklets out there that all you had to do is open them in Inkscape and they were all ready in vector form. but they long long ago took them off the web.

Hi

It is very unlikely you will find exact matches. If you have a look at some of the font sights you may find some dingbat fonts that look very similar.
Here was one post that found some that where too close a match and was taken down. But doesn't mean you would not find similar looking ones.

Also look through the font section and do some searches.

Hope that helps

Guaranteed if you did google the images you would find them because you look at some of those images on their carts and they certainly aren't properties they designed.. Do you own rights to a circle, a square, a star, a heart???

I know they use to be there but I read where Provo Craft made them take them down. I only see the list now, not the pdf vectors they had for so long. I know that they were up to date though Tinkerbell and Cars. I could be wrong, anyone else know

Thank you all for your replies... I thought is seemed strange that provo craft would allow it... I will just look around & see what I can find... You are all so sweet for taking the time to answer...

Well, it does seem that they have taken down the handbooks. You can buy the handbooks from the Cricut web site for $7.50. The new ones aren't up yet tho.

Open any vector PDF in Inkscape and it becomes an svg you can edit, save, etc.
