Send a email to support@craftedge.com with details of your operating system and what's happening when it crashes.

I had the same problem yesterday. Crashed about 3 times while working on one design. Annoying.

I will be honest and say i love using scal but whenever i have sent anything to todd with reference to when i had version 13 crashing on me,i received no reply and have given up waiting hence why i went back to my older version 12.
I have had more help from the people that know there stuff on this board and would be lost without them.

If SCAL freezes after you click on cut then try installing this driver. See my post:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If SCAL is freezing when you are working on designs but haven't click cut yet try installing an older update. It maybe that 2.012 is the problem and installing an older update may fix the problem:

Here's how to install an older version of SCAL2:

First make sure you deactivate SCAL by doing the following steps:

Start the SCAL2 program
Click About under the Help menu
Hold down the Shift key and click in the about window
It will ask to de-activate

Then uninstall your current SCAL2 software.

Then follow this link and download and install either update 8 or update 5

http://forums.surecutsalot.com/viewtopi ... =7&t=12223

Those updates normally work fine for most users.

Also, make sure your USB cable is connected directly to your computer and not through a USB hub.
