Craft Edge

I converted this jpg into an SVG and would like to be able to remove the name from in front of the flowers. I'd like to try and put my daughter's name
in it's place. How do I go about just removing the name from the image?

It took less than an hour to get rid of the name in Inkscape. Deleted and combind a lolt of nodes. Hope this is what you want. It will probably take a week to cut it out! There are still a lot of nodes in the flowers. feel free to tweak it more.

Wow this is wonderful! Thank you so much. I just wish I understood the program better so I could do this as well. I was trying to use the eraser
but was making a bigger mess of things.
