I'm fairly new to the message board so I apologize if this topic has been discussed already. I have been having a lot of trouble out of CDS lately where it stopped working and closed before it could fully load. After many un-installs and re-installs ( I lost count) I finally figured out that if I moved SCAL2 to my external drive and then unplugged my external drive from the laptop, CDS opened wonderfully. I was just curious if anyone else has had this problem and found a way around this. CDS doesn't play well with others!
Thanks for any help given.

I have SCAL 1 and 2 and DS on my computer with no problem. Maybe it was a memory problem?

I too, have SCAL1, SCAL2 and Design Studio. I am using Windows XP. No problems with running them.

Sounds like you may not have enough memory or processing power to run all the programs. Your local computer store or repair place can take a look at your system and see if they can add memory to it. The chips are inexpensive and that might fix your problem. ( I bought 1GB of memory for $48 on my old laptop and they charged $35 to install it and do a complete check up of the operating system and hardware.)
