How do we use drawing tool?

Can't find out how to use the drawing tool. Can't see anything in Help Contents. Any advise?

Daisy, what program are you in SCAL or Inkscape? SCAL does not have a drawing tool per se, but has some built in images and shapes. Inkscape has drawing tools. Can you describe what you are trying to do so we can help you?

Hi-I mean the pen thing drawing tool and yes I have Inkscape now. thnx for help. Why don't they explain the drawing pen thing?

I think she is talking about the SCAL2 "draw tool" in the Tools box.
Pretty much by clicking you are creating nodes to form a connected line-- these can either be straight lines by a simple click or you can curve them by double-clicking and dragging with your mouse. Curves are definitely tricky to get used to, but you can always use the "shape tool" to go back and edit the nodes to get them to how you like them.

Yes--that is what I meant. Gave it a try and was little difficult to manage-these tips should help. Thank you!

hi, I knew I'd seen a video on the node tool and didn't remember that it also covered the pen.
