Craft Edge

I would like to cut out the following image to use on the back of my computer. I've enlarged it , auto traced it and broke it apart in SCAL. What do I do so that I can cut the outer paw from silver and the inner pads from navy vinyl?

In your SCAL click New layer. .to create a new layer.. what I do is click on the part you want as a new layer go to edit cut the paste in to the new layer page..

Having never used layering, it took a while for me to get this. I expected to see a new window open when I clicked Layer-> add layer,it didn't. I then clicked Window->Layer and the layer window opened. I clicked new layer and it appeared nothing happened. I then tried to cut it, but both parts cut out. Just as I was about to give up I clicked the eye and hid the inner layer, cut it and it worked. Then I hid the outer layer and cut the inner one.
