Craft Edge

I've noticed that some of my fonts have jagged edges when cutting? Does anybody know what causes this? Is there something I should do to correct this? These are TTF ... Thanks, Kim

all fonts are not created equal

some of them just don't have clean/straight lines. I think this is mostly true with the fonts that are look alikes to various die cuts, etc.

Is there a way to "clean these up" ... its weird because i made a vinyl title and some of the letters were ok, but some were not ... even the same letters? Thanks for your help tho! Kim

is it just with the vinyl or do they cut that way with paper too? might just be the vinyl.

as far as cleaning them up, yes, you could do that in inkscape.

Never used inkscape ... have it on my computer tho. Is there a quick tutorial somewhere?

I'm working on a tutorial for this & other similar "how to's", but won't have it ready until at least the end of the week (hoped for sooner, but my son is sick *again* & don't have the time right now).

I've not seen a quick how to somewhere. There is a quick how to on tracing a title, etc. that is actually where you need to start & then you can edit the lines from there.

I'll see if I can find that & post it. It's probably in the tutorials section.
