That's a solid line where the fold should be. How can I fix that?

If you have inkscape just delete the lines.. they aren't part of the image.. you can move them..
or if you import to SCAL and the lines show up there just use the ungroup or breakapart feature and delete the lines..

Thank you sweetness.. I shall give that a try.. yes the lines show up in scal 2. I haven't used the delete feature in scal 2 . I had hoped it would have had a eraser to make things easier.

I just went there and didn't see the deselect . I did read , looking at your preview to see what lines that would cut and those disappear. So I guess I am good to go.. :)

Those lines will cut. It sounds like you used Preview All (the magnifier over two pages). That isn't a good indication of what will actually cut, it quite often just shows the silhouette without the inner lines.

If you don't want the lines to score or cut in any way, then it is best to delete them, either in SCAL2 or Inkscape.

Other options in Inkscape would be to select the lines and use Control G. That will import into SCAL2 as a layer that you can use to for scoring by either flipping an old blade upside down or using a cutting blade with extremely light pressure/minimal depth.

Or you can set a stroke on the line and set it to dashes, then use Path/Stroke to path. That will create a perforated score line.
