Make sure you write down the serial number before you uninstall SCAL from your laptop.
Then once the repair is done, send an email to Craft Edge. The software is programmed to only allow it to be installed twice. So Craft Edge has to change something in their computer to allow you to reinstall it on your laptop again.

Before you shut down your old machine go into SCAL and go to Help - About.
Hold down the shift key and click your mouse once anywhere in the About screen that shows up.
This lets you deactivate from SCAL on that machine and frees up one of your 2 accesses you have.
I had to do that when I got a new laptop and wanted SCAL on the new one and off the old one and Craftedge gave me those instructions.

I installed SCAL more than twice.. I uploaded to a USB stick and just plug it into my new computer and voila... no problems whatsoever...

Really, Sweetness? I have only installed it on my laptop but really purchased it for my classroom at school to cut letters and things for my bulletin board. I haven't installed it there since I hated to use my second download on a computer that isn't necessarily mine but would do so if I could download it again at home on my desktop or just have it in case my laptop crashed!! I was afraid to try it through a memory stick thinking that would count against me.. What do you think?? Am I safe to try it?
