svg thumbnail view

Hi. I'm using SCAL on a MAC. When I click "Import SVG" I get a list of the SVGs I have saved. I know that on a Windows computer it's possible to get actual thumbnail images of the saved SVGs so you can see what you're choosing. Does anyone know how to do this on a MAC? I have searched far and wide, but have not found what I'm looking for. Thanks for any help!

I am on windows but I had to download Renesis SVG viewer to see thumbnails. Maybe they have a Mac version.

Is there a way to make the folder stay on thumbnail view? If I close the folder and reopen it, it is back to the little icon or list and I have to change it again. May not be a way to set it, but thought I would ask!

Thanks!
