Those would be my wishes for SCAL.

I think they all have already been mentioned, and I agree to them.


- Centimetres: It's quite hard to calculate in inches as I use the metrical system (1 inch is about 2.5cm, but when you are talking 1.35 inches I'm totally lost!)

- Fill the mat: rather than copying and pasting and then grouping, a way of quickly fill the whole mat with a design would definitely help

- Pause and resume: sometimes you just have to stop cutting and check something

- Cutting progress window: could it stay on the same place while the application is open rather than coming to the centre of the screen with each cut? I always put it down, at the function bar but it goes back to the middle of the screen when I start a new cut. Not a mayor issue, just a bit annoying.

HI On the new update for the program there is the function to fill the mat. Open your image and copy it then go to EDIT Paste (auto fill). Works great.

Here is a conversion web site. You put in your inches and it will tell you the meters and centimetres. I use it myself.

Thanks, I have SCAL 2.000, according to the "About" menu. I just saw that it's got the 2.008!

I'll try it now, filling the mat would be great!

SCAL2 does have a cm option. It is in the Document window that you can get to when nothing is selected on the virtual mat. HTH
