Hi
When I cut my mat and the whole SCAL screen disappears with the exception of the cutting progress bar.
It would be nice if the screen (mat) could stay visable as I like to watch the screen when it is cutting in case I see something I have made a mistake on and can stop it quickly.

It is only a minor issue

I agree. A view of the screen is a nice check on progress and problems. Thanks for asking.

I also think having a screen would be nice...........never thought of it until I read this post!

Is this simply Edit > Preferences > Keep Mat Visible While Cutting (check that box)

Yes it was a request that was incorporated in a later update of SCAL which was great.
