Linda do you spray the vellum with anything to keep the ink from smearing if the block has to be wiped off. I have some self adhesive vellum I though about using do you think that would work I don't have a xyron. also could you explain how you use the wire on the lights. Thanks for the file also very nice work.

I don't spray anything on the front of the vellum. The ink seems to be pretty dry on the vellum I use. It is from Joanns and is called translucent paper. I sent some to Btails on our forum so maybe she can chime in. She also gave me the idea of wrapping wire around the light cord so the lights will stay in place and not fall to the bottom of the glass block. So you would have lights from the top to the bottom. I twisted wire around the entire length of the cord except for the last 6 inches that were sticking out of the block. As for gluing to the block, I would think a spray glue would work if you got it even. A lot of times, glue shows up thru vellum when you are gluing it to paper. I didn't want to take that chance on glass so used the Xyron runner instead so I would get an even coat of glue on the entire back of the vellum.

Don't know how I missed this post but everything looks great! Block is beautiful and card will surely make the recipient smile!
I like your play on words...
" Hopefully you can "flush" out the past and get on with your life. Once you're on a "roll" you'll be unstoppable".
Could add...
" Hopefully you can "flush" out the past and "wipe" the slate clean and get on with your life.
Reminds me of another quip...
"No job is finished until the paper work is done."

Here is the file. I made the base of the toilet using card stock and the white out of vinyl. Will include a plunger for those of you who are stopped up, haha
