Re: Letters Disappear When Adding Shadow
Kelsie,
Okay, I tried the font you mentioned. If I typed the word 'test' at 2" and then choose 'shadow', I have to stay at shadow2 or less. If I went up to Shadow3 or hight I 'lost' the beginning and ending 't'. I think we will have problems like this with shadowing with 'chunky' fonts - possibly something to do with how the font itself is designed. In other words, some fonts will work (and work VERY well) and some just won't work that well.
As others have said, this issue is very easily overcome by using Inkscape technique posted elsewhere in this thread.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but maybe something I have said makes sense to someone!

Re: Letters Disappear When Adding Shadow
Thanks SBOZ! I'll keep the sizing in mind! I had inkscape on my computer but it slowed it down so much I had to take it off. Maybe when I get a newer computer...........(heavy sigh)
Re: Letters Disappear When Adding Shadow
Has anyone tried to cut it out anyway? I will try this today when I get home. May be there and just can't see it?

Re: Letters Disappear When Adding Shadow
I tried to cut it out but when I click on the scissors, it goes through the motion of telling me it's checking the cartridge, etc. (but doesn't get to "checking firmware") and then it says "cutting has completed" but it doesn't cut!!!! It will cut with this font as long as I don't use shadow! Bummer!
Re: Letters Disappear When Adding Shadow
Wow, I hope it's fixed soon. The only reason I went ahead and got this is because it could do welding and shadowing. I had no idea there were so many bugs..and that the cuts took 10 minutes each!! I am pretty bummed right now. Hopefully I'll hear back form the support messages I sent and we'll see some of the issues fixed. I really don't want to mess with dual software to cut out a title!
