Thanks very much Kelly for your kind words.
For this one the first page had a rectangle that was 1.013 inches wide and the letters overlapped the rectangle by about one third to make them weld nicely.
I just went and measured the binding holes on this one and you need a minimum of half an inch for the binding to clear but I would say 3/4 inch to 1 inch to be on the safe side.
I get my binding done at a stationery store so I don't know what measurements the bind-it-all needs if you are going to use that instead.

Raewyn, You are very welcome. I don't have any kind of binding tool so I'll probably go to Staples. Iam so far away from that though I can't even imagine getting it done. It's for my 19 year old and she went through a "Don't take my Picture" phase for about 3 years. :roll: so I don't have much to use for the teen years. Anyway, thanks for all your help.
