Could you post your design and let me look at it to see if I can figure it out.

Next time it happens to me I'll post the file, it has been a few weeks since it happened and to be honest with you I can't remember which file I was working with. The good news is that it eventually starts working fine again.

Thanks for all the replies. For whatever reason it finally worked. I did updates for the SCAL software and DS. Not sure if that what it was or not. Hopefully it won't happen again.

Once again thanks you guys are great!

Here is a file that I have been cutting for several days, I got the file from Dan and LOVE it.
My problem is the machine does good for a couple patterns then all of a sudden will just stop cutting in the middle and won't ever start up again.
Any ideas? I know it is a good file since I have done 8 or so complete baskets.

It really looks like a good file. I did however remember that when I first got my cricut back in 2006 one of the blogs stated that the cricut does have computer intelligence "but" that sometimes you need to restart or reboot the machine and the computer. your virtual memory on you pc could be causing it. did you have a pop up window stating you were long on your virtual memory? This one has me baffeled. One other thing I remember is that I have Vista and have several graphics programs installed on my pc and for my cricut to run smoth I had to set my cricut to run on XP instead of Vista. Do you have Vista? Boy it gave me fits til I changed mine. It's easy do do.

that is a lot of info, thanks so much!!!
I have windows XP and haven't ever had that virtual message pop up. I'm guessing this is just one of those things that 'happens' sometimes. I'll live with it, but I sure appreciate all your help with this. Maybe your answer will help someone that has vista.
