Tinghatreasures, when you searched for svg files did you only get about 6 or 8 of them? That's all I am getting and wondering if there are a lot more. These are the only ones that will let me save. All of the others will just let me either view or copy the picture of the file!

When I was looking at this web site, I just clicked on the first picture and followed the little right and left arrows to the next picture.FILE 1/4365 . See, it says file 1 of 4365. When I looked for just svg files, not much came up but on a lot of pictures, if you keep going to the next file, there will be a red square that says svg with the name of it in French. We can learn French at the same time as we download the file. Isn't life grand? My eyes gave out after looking at 2000 of them so I bookmarked the spot I was at so I wouldn't have to go thru the entire list again. There are a lot of clear jpgs to copy so we can Inkscape them and make our own.

Kelsie, I don't understand why you are having trouble downloading the svg files in the Craft Robo web site. . In Internet Explorer, I just clicked on the picture or clicked on the red svg box and then got the open or save box so I clicked save and saved it to my desk top. I have a folder in MY Documents that I named SVG files. I put all my svg and scut files in it. I have that folder set up on" view> thumbnails" and I can see the actual picture. Most of the time I use Firefox and just left click on the file and it opens it up and save it to my desk top. when I fill my desk top up, I open the SVG file in My documents and just drag them into the file. Also with Firefox, if it is just a jpg picture, I left click on the pict, view picture( which puts it in a clearer, cleaner picture) left click it and save it to my Future SVG files. I'm so sorry you are having trouble because there are so many files you can use. I probably downloaded 150 of them this morning.

okay this is what I have done
go to
http://www.scrapmag.info/crafty/index.php
Use the search feature top menu last on the right., when the search box comes up i type in .svg, untick everything but filename click search (dont forget the DOT svg)
You will then have 3 rows of thumbnail pics and 33 pages.
The easisest way now is click on the first thumbnail top left, (2 pious (birds) to save right click on graphic and save target as.
There is 389 svg files there. To go to the next use the arrow keys.

You can use Inkscape (its free) or a couple of other programs (not free) to convert image files into svg. Look through the tutorial section on how to do this.

Here is a link to the translated website using Google translate. http://translate.google.com/translate?p ... ry_state0= Not everything gets translated, but it helps.

They have 1000's of free files, many of them in the svg format. There are also a lot of jpegs that you can copy and make files out of. DHoffman mentioned this in one of her posts here. I think she posted some of her files under the Holiday header.
I searched on ".svg" files, and it brings up 42 pages of stuff, but very few actual files. Most of what I see is a pink box that says "FICHIER SVG" (whatever that means)...there is a title under it that makes it seem like a picture SHOULD be there but when i click on it...it's just a larger pink box with the same stuff. I thought maybe if I registered as a member then those boxes would open up and I could see what's in them....nope. Am I the only one seeing this? Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Click on it again and a window should pop up with the save/open options.
