I just purchased my Scal 2 last month do I have to update it? I have played with it some but have not had time to cut anything with it yet. Where do I go to get the update? i appreciate the help.

kukus - you don' t HAVE to update ...... but to take advantage of the new feature you will would have to update.

If you use Inkscape 0.47 or download svg files made by other people that use Ink47 you will probably either want/need to update your SCAL or open the files in Ink46 and save them before importing them into SCAL.

I downloaded latest version and now it doesn't work at all. All my screens are blank.

Todd, I took the plunge and bought the product. What convinced me was the ability to cut open paths and the fact that shapes created in INK is now easier to work with and cut.

I am finally up to speed and since I got a code when the upgrade first came out, I couldn't beat the price.

I updated last night from 2.008. Everything seems to work on screen. I have yet to cut anything. This weekend I will give it a go.

I love this newest update because now you can just click on your scut file and it opens right in SCAL.. NO more opening scal first..

Sounds like their might have been a problem with the download and installation. Try downloading and installing it again but turn off your virus scanning software to prevent any conflicts during installation.

Here is the msg I sent support.

I am having problems with v2.011, I can no longer open files that I have opened in the past. A error msg opens that says "Failed to load the SVG File". These are files that I have purchased and know that they work because I have cut them out once. I have attached a couple of the files for you to see. So far it only seems to be files from this specific designer and not all of them either. Any ideas on what has happened, does it have something to do with the update to the new version.

I went to redownload v2.011 and the file is no longer available. I can not post the files here since I paid for them but I wonder if it is the update causing the problems.

I just bought SCAL and I am getting the same error- Failed to load the SVG file. I know they work. I can open them in inkscape. UGH
