once you get the file unzipped... you don't need to install it!

You just have to have it opened....

then open SCAL and it will show up in the text choices...

OR, if you already have SCAL open, and then open the font, you can just hit the refresh button (under your text choices) and it should show up in the list.

I personally in the past have used WinZip with a free trial.

One thing to consider is that if you install too many fonts it will slow down your system.

Another option for those fonts you may use once in a while is to create a special folder for uninstalled fonts. Then you can either open the font and then the program you want to use it in, or SCAL1 and SCAL2 have a refresh font button so that you can open fonts at any time and then refresh the font list. The fonts don't need to be unzipped for this. This works with any of the programs that I have tried it with.

There is also a load font option for uninstalled fonts in SCAL2. I think that fonts do need to be unzipped for this. HTH
