sandyj wrote:Boy, I LOVE product competition! I got an email from MTC to get it at a super cheap price and went over to browse (wasn't impressed by the initial offering and didn't see the point) and saw all the new things it can do. Thought, HUMMMMM.....

And today, SCAL can do a lot of those things!

Thank you, Todd, for not resting on your 'laurels'. I love SCAL....

And just as an aside, I've read the MTC forums and it has a completely different feel than the forums here. It seems, I don't know, darker somehow. Hard to explain.
After it's all said and done, I think I'll probably end up with both programs (I got that email too ;) ).
Honestly, I wasn't too impressed with MTC at first either, but the creator is right there on the boards listening and actively participating in the comments with his customers daily-- I love that, and it means a lot. And I think because of that, his program has come a long way fast! I believe his shadow function has surpassed SCAL2s and I love how he incorporates a preview with many of his features. I think the program is still a little clunky to get used to after using SCAL versions (don't like how you still can't click on the mat to type, etc) but I think there is definite promise for us users and I guess that's the bottom line for me.
I'll always have and use SCAL but it just might end up with a pal in the future, heh.
And, not to mention, since MTC has come around, I love how SCAL has been kicking it up a notch in the updates!! Yeay for us!!! :D

Not sure of the "darker" issue with their forums?? I guess I see it as the more the merrier! The only real "darker" issue is why PC didn't jump on board with this stuff in the first place???

Ha! You guys make me lol so darn hard, I'm rolling over! I am so excited about the new version. So I can just go ahead and upgrade without upgrading the previous version?

You might have to uninstall your old version and just download the latest version and reactivate with your code. E-mail Todd and explain to him what you did so he can reset your code.

Judy, I just updated on of my computers directly from 2.006 to 2.010 with no problems at all. I didn't uninstall the previous version, just did the update (I don't use that computer very often :D ). HTH
