I'm brand new to SCAL...just downloaded the trial version to my Mac today. I'm wondering how you all keep track of your svg files, and I'm wondering how the Library works. Can I create a library, then use svg files and group them into this library? Or do I have to import individual svg files every time I want to use them?
Any suggestions as to the easiest way for me to keep track of these files, and use them, would be much appreciated
I just tried the Library software and I think it is great. You can create Shape library files but the only thing is that they are not scaled as they would be if you create a .scut file and import each file and scale...guess it really doesn't matter cuz either way you have to scale.
For instance, I create a file that has 5 layer files. I would create a library file consisting of each layer file and save the file to the Library folder in CraftEdge and once you open SCAL, it will be in the Shapes tab under the Library files...all your files in one place. From there, you can pull in each shape, size them and save as a .scut file.

Doin the Bug...ain't nothin wrong if you wanna do da Bug all nite long...
I'm so sorry, I feel like a total idiot but I have no idea what you are taking about.
I opened the finder, dragged the svg files into the pane under the Shapes file....but I cannot see them in SCAL.
The only way I can see the svg files is if I open SCAL, then drag the files in one at a time, at which time they are placed onto the cutting mat.
What I would like to know is, is there any way that I can open SCAL, and click on something in the library that will open a popup box containing my svg files?
Sorry if I'm not clear....please ask me anything you want!
When I had my wishblade, I collected a zillion files and had a real mess. I couldn't find anything.
So, I bought a flash drive and created folders for each topic. Ex: animals, children, cards, borders, etc. As I found a new download, I would save it in the appropriate file on the flash drive.
This way you can share with your friends or on your other computer.
As I am a collector, it saved a ton of space on my hard drive.
