New and can't cut =(

i had the same problem with mine - i figured out that it was because i still had the cricut design studio still up and running from updating the firmware so i could use the SCAL - once i close out the CDS it worked perfectly

I am having the same problem of not being able to cut, however I am using a mac so I guess I don't need to install any drivers. I don't know what else the problem could be. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am running a mac 10.6.8 SCAL 2.030 Cricut Expression 2.31
