creating a computer mouse

Post by ksderby »

I am trying to create a computer mouse which I can cut REALLY big in vinyl. It will be used on the walls of the local middle school's computer lab walls. I've got the insides of the mouse but I need an outline or base cut. The sections of the mouse will be gray, the track ball will be dark gray and the base will be black. I can't figure out how to create the base.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've never posted before (always just been a lurker) so I'm not certain this is working. Thanks in advance.

:D

Almost, it shouldn't have the middle indentation. Ideally it would be rounded at the top.

Can you tell me how you did that?

you could just delete the node off the middle curves and it will round out.. click on the nodes in scal and then use the backspace button..

Thank you to everyone for your help. I now have various sized computer mice all over my craft room (and one very cute animal mouse). I'll post pictures when I have them up on the wall.

I think I'm going to be looking for a little more help soon. I've made a graphing calculator (although I still need to figure out how I'm going to make the arrow on the graph). I need to make an abacus, compass (the type used in geometry classes) and protractor. Right now the abacus is giving me fits. If anyone knows of a site with math "stuff" that is already set-up for SCUT or SVG's that have been divided, I'd love to know about it.

Again, thank you everyone. I appreciate the support and help.

Try this site. They have a lot of public domain vectorized images. There are some that aren't cutter-friendly, but you might find some that you can use.
