it is very frustrating to find that we have resized or moved an image so the grab handle that moves it is then off screen.
We need to be able to grab any part of the image to be able to move it.
I don't understand what the other handles do? as we can move it around using they x and y co-ordinates.
So please make those handles do something useful like stretch or reduce the image in that dimension. At present we can only use the bottom left one to reduce or stretch the image.
Making it difficult to control if we only want to make it longer or wider BUT not affect the other dimension. especially with Fonts.
Another WIsh
the ability to create SHADOWS
I had to resort to the one Cricut cartridge I had to create 'happy birthday' with a shadow so I can use two colours.
Or am I missing something I should be able to do.
PERHAPS SOMEONE COULD POINT ME AT A TUTORIAL. if there is one.
Thanks

My favorite place to go for the tutorials is here http://svgcuts.com/blog/category/tutorials/page/2/ Leo is great with his video's
Heather M also has tutorials for scal and inkscape (I was just checking out her Tracing in inkscape) There are quite a few.
The ability to shadow is there in the appearence box got a couple of choices, I would try to explain but I am also new to this and I might get you confused but check out Leo I am sure he will help you

Re: ability to move the object when grab handle is off screen
You can move selected objects around the screen using the directional arrows on your keyboard.
As far as stretching a shape, make sure Keep Proportions box is not checked, and use the one sided arrow on the right to stretch horizontally and the one sided arrow on the bottom to stretch vertically.
(SCAL2) As far as shadowing, that is easy also. Select the shape and copy it, add a layer if you want, and then do a Edit>Paste in Place on the new layer (if you created one). Select the shape, and use the down arrow on the Appearance tab to change Normal to Shadow.

Re: ability to move the object when grab handle is off screen
One of my favorite ways to do a shadow is to grab the right corner and just drag slightly down with proportion "on". You can still see the object behind to get an idea of how large the shadow will be.
I agree, though. Especially when I'm doing a paste, often the object goes off the screen where I can't move it. I have to move the object to a different area of the mat, click "paste" again, and then I can position things. Kind of a pain because usually what I'm wanting to copy/paste is right in the upper left corner, and that's where it will throw a paste off the screen where it can't be moved.
