Cut again option

Post by Falcon256 »

A cut again option would be awesome! Just about everything I use SCAL and the Cricut for are repeat operations. Cut, unload paper, reload paper, rinse and repeat. It would be great to have a cut again choice when it says completed.

Thanks again for the great software!

There is a multi cut option which cuts into the same design more than once... under cutter in SCAL2.

Hello,

I am actually looking to cut the same shape out repeatedly from different sheets... so, cut out 6 shapes, unload, load, cut out 6 more shapes... I do use multicut to get through thick stuff (like Mylar) so that the surface is not damaged in cutting.

I found that when I cut mylar sheets (that have adhesive backs) mylar side up the edges of the sheet is rough. If I put it mylar down and set the cut setting to max, smooth edges.

I just need to do that step a thousand times...lol

Thanks,

Andrew

Well in that case just put your image on your page to the size you want.. and what I do is go cut and paste then highlight the image then go edit/auto fill :D

Thanks for the tips.. It is hard to be clear in text.

I have a full sheet of mylar worth of shapes I cut out... I ave to cut out about 100 of these shapes on average, and 6 fit on one page.

When the program is done, I don't want to click <ok> for done, and have to click cut again.

What I was hopng for was a done dialog that includes a "cut again" option so I can quickly cut out the next sheet. I have 3 12x24 I load the mylar on to. When it is done cutting one I load the next one in the cricut and peel off what I just cut... so on.

Thanks.

That is the one thing I like about the ecraft machine...it does not use mats. So when I saw your post, I knew just what you were talking about. I am doing a projects now that I have to cut 50 times...which means I have to clean the mat at 45 times. With the ecraft machine, just load the paper in the paper tray and hit cut. Even if I have to hit cut for each one, at least I don't have to go thru all the changes of cleaning the mat and setting it up again...if only they would release the machine.
