Window vinyl?

Post by suzsh »

For vinyl on car windows, can I use outdoor vinyl or is there a different kind recommended?

Thanks!

I have that too in colors. I have used it a couple of times and it seems to be holding up well. If you are going to be doing a large quantity in White, you might want to try the Oracal.

I just found out a minute ago that I will be using the GT 5 for 10 cuts that I am doing for my great nieces Soccer. They want Yellow and Blue and I only have those colors in the GT 5.

I'd love to hear your results. I've also been searching for transfer paper vs. contact paper. I read that you use contact paper. Is that method still working for you? I'd like to offer decals at craft shows...that's why so many questions lol

Contact paper has worked for me. I do have some cuts that were made last December that I am now curious to see how well they will transfer after sitting around for 4 months. I am going to check it out tonight.

I use the GT5 for pretty much everything, including our cars, windows and body, an it holds up beautifully with no fading after a year+. Hope that helps.
