Re: lets try again
Have you hooked your printer up to all the usb ports to make sure it prints from each? I would do something like that to make sure that they in fact are working. I would also try using the printer usb cord instead of the cricut cord to see if that makes a difference.

Not sure what operating system your computer is, but you can go into your device manager and check to see if there is a problem with any usb ports. Here is how I get to mine: Start, control panel, device manager. Expand the Universal serial bus controlers. If there is a problem with one of them it will have a yellow exclamation mark. Hope you find your problem.

Re: lets try again
If your computer does not let you know that it can see the Cricut, try turning off the Cricut, then plugging the USB cable into a different USB port (most computers have a few ports in front, and some more in back) and turning the Cricut back on, to see if the message pops up. If you try them all (remembering to turn the Cricut off before each new plug attempt) with no pop-up, disconnect the USB cable, reboot the computer, then try connecting it again to as many ports as it takes to be seen. This will ensure that your Cricut is communicating successfully with your computer. Cricut should be plugged directly to your computer. Do not use a USB hub.
Got that off the Cricut site.

i am not good at explaining things so be patient with me
i plugged my cricut into each of my 4 different ports in the back and i made sure i shut the cricut off first on each of them and when i turned it back on on each of them you can hear that ding dong noise now does that mean it is communicating with my computer?
if so thats great but i am still getting thew cricut machine could not be found make sure it is connected and turned on grrrrrrrrr
i cannot understand this at all
it will work on my usb port in the front but that one is messed up you have to keep jiggleing it
why will it not work on the 4 in the back????????????????/
