Double cut lines

Post by lily_em82 »

I'm trying to make an svg to cut in scal1. I traced the image but the outside lines are doubled.. when I cut it, it cuts as a whole bunch of little ovals next to eachother to form the outside line.
Any ideas?

Are you cutting this from paper or vinyl? It is very simple to break it apart in Inkscape. I selected the artwork, Path/Break apart. Click off the artwork, then click on the lower right corner where the original was all black. Drag that to the side. Select the rest of the black, Control K. You can use both sections for a paper piecing, or just use the detailed part for paper or vinyl. HTH

is it possible to make it as one image?
I wasnt wanting to layer a piece on top of the other.. I cut the same image in two different colours then switch parts and then they fit together perfectly. then the image is flat and looks like one piece

thanks for the help! it will be useful for other files I have
